December 2, 2006            Sandlapper Poultry Club   Winter Show        Orangeburg County Fairgrounds,  Orangeburg,  SC                Eastern National 2006

This was the first show for the Sandlapper Club in many a year.  Though small it was a great show.   Our Club only had 41 d'Uccles and 6 booted bantams in the show by 4 exhibitors.    The Meet was judged by W. D. Jones with the following results.  BB d'Uccle was a Porcelain Hen by Karl Urshel,  RB d'Uccle was a Black Cock also by Urshel. In the Booted Bantams BB was a Porcelain Pullet by Urshel and RB was a Porcelain Pullet by Urshel. The meet champions were the d'Uccles.  There were no Juniors showing d'Uccles.   Other varieties being shown were in the d'Uccles, Butterscotch, White Tail Buff, Quail, Golden Neck, Brown Red, Mille Fleur, Mottled, Porcelain, Self Blue, and White.  In the Booted they were Gray, and Porcelain.

The third best d'Uccle was a White Hen by Urshel, Forth Best was a Mille Fleur Hen by Urshel, Fifth Best was a Quail Hen by Urshel,  Third Best Booted was a Gray Cock by Urshel, Forth Best was a Porcelain Cockerel by Urshel, and Fifth Best was a Porcelain Pullet by Urshel.

Other exhibitors listed were Carina Sanabria, Tristan Greer, and Jack Cardwell.   Cardwell had RV with a black Pullet.  Sanabria had BV and RV in the Golden Necks, and Greer had BV and RV in the Brown Reds.   all other Varieties went to Urshel.

Our Club meet at the Anderson show this year was greatly improved over that past years. This year we had 79 d'Uccle judged, there were 4 in the Junior Show and 75 in the open show.  Here are the results.   BB in the open show was a Mille Fleur Hen by Ronnie Tallent, this bird was also Reserve Feather leg.  RB was a Black Hen also by Ronnie Tallent.   In the Junior Show BB was a Mille Fleur Hen by Josh Vaughn and RB was a Mille Fleur Cockerel also by Josh Vaughn.    The third best bird was a black Cockerel by Ronnie Tallent , 4th best was a White Pullet by Karl Urshel and 5th best was a Mottled Pullet by Karl Urshel.   The Varieties shown were as follows:   Black 11, Buff Columbian 2, Blue Mille Fleur 2,  Butterscotch 5, Golden Neck  7,  Mille Fleur 14,  Mottled 13,  Porcelain  3,  Self Blue  7, White  13, and Quail  2.  In the Junior Show they were 2 Mille Fleur's and 2 Blacks.

The exhibitors were: Joe Hodgin,  Karl Urshel, Ronnie Tallent, and Rocky Hughey and Junior Josh Vaughn.
